Part 20 |Final| Things Happen for a Reason
The next thing everything was a blur. Kuro was pushed out of the way as Sariya got hit by a car, I broke out of Isshi’s hold as I ran up to Sariya’s fallen figure, tears streaked down my cheek as I kept calling out her name. Her eyes open a crack as she reaches out and holds my hand with her bloody one.
“Please stay with me Neko” Sariya whispers as Momi and Kira runs over and checks on Kuro who is hugging Izumi crying over the incident as she mutters incoherent things. Akiya was being held back by Shin and Haku, who wanted to beat the shit out of the driver. Nao is talking to the traumatized driver and getting details; Isshi was on his phone getting help as he kneels next to me and places a hand on my shoulder as he hangs up.
“They will be here in a little while” he says as I continue to hold onto Sariya, as if I am holding onto her very existence.
“I said something bad was going to happen…I hate it when I’m right” I say as the tears continue to flow as the sound of sirens filled the air. Isshi held onto me as I cry and Sariya’s silent form breathed in an awkward pattern. Before long I sat in the ambulance with Sariya since she requested me to be there.

[At the hospital]
Sariya was admitted to emergency as I sat in the waiting room with the rest of the group. Isshi held onto me as I cry onto his shoulder. Akiya was crying in the corner, pushing everyone away, which is until I got up and hug the man, who tried to push me away but soon gave in.
Kira, Shin, Nao and Momi sat in silence as Izumi and Kuro apologise over and over to each other, unsure if they should continue their relationship. Isshi walks over and gently tugs me away from Akiya who stood up and sat next to Shin. Isshi sat down and made me sit with him.
“Sariya is a strong woman, I’m sure shell pull through” Isshi tells me as he tries to relax me, this went on for several hours.
“Akiina, Sariya wishes to see you” A nurse says as I follow her to where Sariya is, who is now laying in bed with a cast on her arm and leg.
“Neko-chan, no more crying, the doctors said I was lucky, the car was breaking…so I’ll be fine, just a cracked rib, broken arm and leg” Sariya says as I throw my arms around her as the doctor smiles as he enters the room.
“Miss Akiina, you can inform the others and they can visit once I check on Sariya” he says as I ran out of the room and run into Isshi, who I jumped and hugged to death.
“Your right, she’s fine, she’s going to be ok” I yell as Isshi suddenly laughs and hugs me. The rest of the group breaks out in cheer at the news of Sariya’s condition. “We can all visit her as soon as that doctor leaves” I say as I point to the doctor who smiles.
“You can all see her now” He says as everyone swarms into the room at top speed. Everyone spent a day and a half waiting of the news and now they get to see her, was more than what the group hoped for.

[Two days later]
Me and Isshi decide to visit Sariya with Akiya, who was jumping from foot to foot as I choose a plushie to get Sariya and decided on a cat one. We walk into her room to see her reading a manga I brought her on my previous visit.
“Oh my Kiya, nice to see you” she says as she hugs Akiya happily with one arm. Then she looks at me and Isshi as I hand her a plushie.
“Me and Isshi got this for you” I say as Isshi hands her the other Kitty plushie. Now she has two of them on her lap.
“Thanks guys, I’ll name them Isshi and Akiina, after you guys” she says as I smile.
“I’ll be back; do you want something to drink?” I ask as I look at Sariya who nods and ask for a Lychee flavoured juice as I leave, closely followed by Isshi.
“Thirsty?” he asks as I simply shake my head.
“No, just wanted Sariya and Akiya to have some alone time” I say as I sit next to the juice machine and decide to give her twenty minutes with him as Isshi sits next to me and softly sighs.
“What’s up Isshi?” I ask as he looks at me and smiles.
“I want to ask you something but I don’t know how to do it” he says as I look at him in interest.
“What is it?” I asks as he sighs and holds my hands, I felt fear well up in me, scared he might break up with me as well as curiosity as Isshi looks down at my hands.
“I was wondering, if you would marry me?” Isshi asks as I felt my heart jump and go crazy, he looks up at me as I felt my mind tick over, contemplating my answer which could change everything for better or worse…
